Our History...

Jekyll Con, a holiday nerd market for the southern Georgia and northern Florida area, began on December 13, 2014 on Jekyll Island off the coast of Brunswick, Georgia.

The show was a hit and returned again on December 12th, 2015 for year two.

Then for year three the show expanded to a two-day event December 10-11 2016.

In year four the show diversified further for the two-day event on December 9-10 2017 adding the "HYDE Horror Alley", a section focusing on horror themed pop culture.

Year five took place December 8-9 2018.

Year six saw some major changes as the last show run by the previous owner and returning to a one day show on December 14th 2019.

Just months after that event the pandemic struck the country and all events were shut down. The new show owner, Hall of Heroes based in Jacksonville, FL, sought out ways to bring the show back as it was, but with few celebrity guests being able to travel during the pandemic and the costs of doing a show on the island so high, it made a traditional Jekyll Con show impossible at the time.  By the end of the year things were beginning to open up, and always the ones to find new and creative spaces for shows, the new Jekyll crew teamed up with Pop Vault to bring the show to  Glynn Place Mall offering a bigger and more accessible venue (great for social distancing), free parking  and free entry.  The new show merged Jekyll Con and Hyde Horror Alley into  JEKYLL & HYDE Con for its seventh year on December 15th 2020, its eighth year on December 4th 2021, and its ninth year on Saturday December 3rd, 2022.

Due to some scheduling issues we postponed the 2023 show until October 2024.

For our 10th year we joined with the Historic Downtown District on Saturday October 19th for a special Halloween Jekyll & Hyde up and down Newcastle Street and in select venues on Saturday October 19th, 2024.

Thank you for 10 amazing years!
